The greedy CEOs are allowing violent and disgusting criminals to thrive on social media and video-sharing platforms by censoring hard topics
The reason why these criminals are managing to evade justice and continue their nefarious activities without consequence is primarily because we, as a society, are facing significant limitations when it comes to discussing these issues openly on social media or any other platforms.
In fact, there seems to be an increasing trend of censorship, as well as a culture of self-censorship, where individuals feel compelled to hold back their thoughts and opinions for fear of backlash or repercussions for reporting crimes and making documentaries about the important hard topics by forcing them to censor out words or use algospeak, a form of slang for evading social media content filters just to have their content up and this is a disgusting trend seen on video platforms such as YouTube and TikTok because the CEOs don't care about people's safety or awareness of horrible crimes they see them as a burden in the way of making money.
This situation is not merely a passing concern, it is an ongoing issue that seems to be rooted deeply in the way powerful corporations, particularly tech CEOs, are handling these discussions is appalling and disgusting silencing the voices of the victims and their families just for making money at the expense of censorship and having a good reputation for their investors.
It appears that, perhaps unwittingly, these decision-makers are inadvertently endorsing and rewarding the criminal behavior of individuals who are perpetrating these heinous acts and their choice to prioritize advertisers and potential revenue over the safety and well-being of users is leading to a troubling environment where predatory behaviors can thrive unchallenged.
As a result, countless voices that might otherwise shine light on this pressing issue are silenced, and those who dare to speak out often find themselves facing account suspensions or public backlash, creating a chilling effect that discourages further dialogue.
This not only stifles critical discussions but also enables a culture of impunity where malfeasance can continue unaddressed, for example, whistleblowers or individuals wishing to report wrongdoing may hesitate to come forward, knowing they could face severe social and professional repercussions for their honesty.
Moreover, the algorithms that determine what content is promoted or suppressed can unintentionally fortify these silos of silence and instead of elevating information that addresses these crimes, platforms may prioritize sensational content or material that drives engagement, even if it perpetuates false narratives or misinformation.
Consequently, users are often left navigating a landscape where harmful behavior receives more visibility than the stories of victims or the advocacy efforts aimed at prevention with criminals such as rapists and murderers getting praised by the greedy companies and stifling awareness is a real issue right now we have to resort to coded language to have our videos monetized or stay up.
This is further complicated by the fact that systemic issues, such as socioeconomic disparities and lack of education, can render certain communities more vulnerable to exploitation and the criminals who exploit these weaknesses often go undetected for long periods, using encrypted channels or hidden networks to conduct their operations.
The tech companies, while equipped with the resources to adapt their policies and technology for better monitoring and reporting, have frequently chosen a path of minimal engagement with these issues, citing the complexity of balancing freedom of expression with user safety.
