Local 40/361 NYC

I applied for the exam, thought nothing of it, didn't finish all the questions. I missed 3 out of the 40 in 1 section and assumed I failed. I imagined that everyone else finished all questions and thousands applied and there was a lot of 100 scores. I was looking forward to local 740 Millwrights anyways.

Turns out I passed and apparently this is the highest paid union in all of New York City, even more that Millwrights; 30 dollars more in benefits. And since it takes a year+ to get called for training under Local 740, now I'm looking forward to becoming an Ironworker. So I've got questions

I'm very wary as I read that its slow for iron workers, is there work year round?
Is being a Millwright a better choice?
How long would it take to get called to training after my physical?
In general how long is the onboarding process to finally getting on a job site?
