how to feel less scared for my first ever job (18 - retail)

Hi all,

I’ve accepted a job offer for a retail position only 10 hours per week. My manager was really nice during the interview, she seemed lovely which makes me feel better.

But I’m so nervous because it’s new! I am so scared of change and all of that stuff, potentially freezing up infront of customers.

I had one shift before somewhere else (didn’t get fired or anything lol) but it took me a few customers to get confident and surprisingly I’m quite bubbly in interviews as I really like the environment¿? As I know what’s expected of me, rather than other interactions ie chatting to a neighbour.

Can the “usually nervous” people help me snap out of this lol. I want to feel excited and confident!
