finally got to see the Evergaol meta.
Got a 3 stack together with friends and we all decided to try the Evergaol meta. We planned on doing it with the forest figuring that the lack of one evergaol would be fine for the trade off having the forest power.
Thoughts, it's exactly what I thought it would be, you're very strong but you're at higher risk of not getting a good weapon for your class as well as being a bit more starved for build than a standard run. This is because you're running less ruins, forts, cathedrals, etc. But you make up for this in raw damage. I was running an ironeye with +1 skill and I was glued to the boss because I would put a mark on an enemy and it would instantly pop.
Would I recommend this strat for randos, gods no. Our first runs with it were really shakey as we were figuring out how to optimize it and that was with voice chat, doing it with people you can't talk to, and not knowing how many keys you have so you don't have to waste time getting more keys. Coupled with a serious lack of passives from gearyou'll be acquiring through the run, and the fluctuating skill of randos I would not do this strat with randos.
