First bike suggestions

Ok, so I’m into running and training currently. I think I would enjoy biking maybe more. I was thinking about maybe getting one with a little motor, so if I’m hurt/ too tired I can motor home. The problem is I don’t have much money. Would it be better to get a nicer racing bike or an e bike?
