How do you feel about tan lines?

Reposting since when I added the edit to it with links to show examples of the different tops, it was auto-removed because it was too long.

Yea? Nay? Ambivalent?

I'm asking because this happened two days ago.

I was at the beach for the last couple of days, and I wore different bathing suits (triangle top, bandeau, halter, and this exact one piece. When I came back, I went to see the guy I've been seeing for the last couple of months. He'd been working out when I got to this place so he went to take a quick shower. While he was showering, I got naked and laid on his bed thinking he'd be into it. First thing out of his mouth is "Oh, that's a lot of tan lines." So now I'm trying really hard to convince myself that it's not a big deal and maybe he just sort of blurted out the first thing in his mind.

Also, no, we're not kids, we're in our early and mid 30s.
