PC turning off, then when I turn it on it show me everything I was doing

So, it's pretty simple, 6 years old laptop, it happens, rarely, that my pc just turn off, and, after I boot it up again, it just works noramlly. I was curious because when I turn it on everything that I was prreviously doing appears on pc, like nothing happened. Any explanation?
