How do you drop modular weapons in Mashmak?

I'm not asking about calling in an airdrop. I want to know how to drop modular weapons that are already equipped or that are in my inventory. If I try to drop them like other items (spacebar) they either go from inventory to equipped or from equipped to inventory. What am I doing wrong?
