Bowel obstruction

Hey guys I posted a couple weeks ago about my mom’s stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis. Today we found out that the tumor is creating a blockage in her colon which has been causing her to throw up constantly. My mom started folfox 5 days ago so she is supposed to be just getting started on her fight. She is going to get surgery either tonight or tomorrow. Just wondering how bad this news is and if she has any chance of being okay. I know you aren’t supposed to look stuff up but google says she will only have months left to live which does not sit will with me considering she looked and felt fine two days ago.
