Credit card with no credit history

Im canadian but have been living in the US since 18 and just returned back to canada. i have no credit history and my income is CAD 98,500 annually, which i know is less important in getting a card. i have a good credit score in the us but i guess thats irrelevant. i dont pay rent and generally expenses are very low

I'm with scotiabank with 2 checking accounts. what credit cards can i apply for? I tried for the scotia visa momentum no fee and was rejected. i do really want the amex cobalt eventually too, so i want to build credit fast if possible! TYIA
