Is My Ms. Bumbleflower Deck Still “Group Hug”—or Just Hugging the Win?
I put together a [[Ms. Bumbleflower]] Commander deck and quickly realized… I love this card. The deck turned out a lot stronger than I expected because I threw in a bunch of my best value cards—cantrips, low-cost spells, and synergy pieces that trigger Bumbleflower’s ability over and over. She gets big fast.
The deck has a few win conditions:
- A storm-style draw win with [[Twenty-Toed Toad]]
- Spreading +1/+1 counters across the board (including on opponents’ creatures) and then swinging with a pumped-up team
- Or just making Bumbleflower enormous and knocking people out the old-fashioned way
That said—now I’m wondering: Is this still a group hug deck? It started with that intention, but now it feels more like I’m benefiting a lot more than anyone else.
Should I lean back into the group hug style by swapping out some of the stronger pieces? Or is it fine for a deck like this to look friendly while quietly setting up a win?
Would love to hear from other Bumbleflower brewers or folks who’ve played against her. What direction did you take your build?
