India's priorities for people

When i look at india related reddit these days, it makes me think we already made it to first world status. Judging by the issues that are in mainstream, that are dominating public discourse right now even in this sub. Government's attention is guided by public's attention . Language wars is the latest such topic, if i made list of 1000 topics for our country , i don’t think this would even appear on the tip of my pen. I see 100,000 topics that are more important than this one . There are so many metrics that we have to improve on that I wouldn’t even spend 1 second thinking about it. We have fledgling gdp growth, poor water security, electric grid that needs huge expansion , rare earth mineral crisis, water deficiency , huge skills gap for our country to transition from agrarian to industrial, existential threat of being irrelevant in deep tech, robotics, AI, Electric power. High youth unemployment , tough competition in Manufacturing by countries 10 times smaller than us. How does average redditor india, average person in india have luxury to focus on such utter nonsense , trivial problems. Is govt shielding people too much, are there too many avenues for people to earn livelihood through non productive means like gunda gardi , being "politician" as career. I observe huge chunk of our population is absolutely non productive, low iq, pampered by govt freebies, lazy, fake sense of pride, no real self worth in hard work. This chunk might be small percentage , god i hope so, but is huge in terms of numbers. We as people have started to make it ok to have fake sense of pride (mocking Pakistan , being proud small, meaningless things specific to regions (Northeast sub proud of athletics. clean, gujarat sub proud of gdp growth, business mind, maharastra sub focus on language, south. You could be from any of these regions to the world, you are a third world indian. This harsh reality should be our motivation to have better civic sense, be more resourceful, build real self worth through hardwork real contributions.
