Needing advice on what doctors to see
Hello fellow bendy people
This has probably been asked 1000’s of times already but I find it rather overwhelming. But the main question is: what doctors should I consider seeing/ is it even worth it?
Symptoms/ history: I’ve been diagnosed with hypermobility & mild scoliosis. I’m constantly fighting the battle of varying degrees of pain & decline in abilities. I feel like my joints are being held by wet spaghetti that’s constantly tangling. Subluxation happens daily with my shoulders & hips— sometimes stuck for months. This causes a lot of nerve compression; particularly from my neck to fingers & neck to shoulder/hip/toes. The pain is mostly on the left due to a car accident. Also my knees sound like crunching cornflakes when bending & walking upstairs.
Should I see a biokintecist? Physical therapist? Chiropractor? Just a GP for a referral? Or am I just better off saving that money & focus on strength training?
My remedies I’ve figured out (I can’t take NSAIDs) hot shower/bath. Massages. Focused meditation on relaxing muscles. Paracetamol in times of desperation. And surprisingly, Celtic salt. It’s helped a lot with muscle spasms & being able to walk up the stairs without feeling like I’m dying.
Much help would be appreciated 🩷
