Pond Fishing

So I grew up fishing a private pond on my parents place. We used to not have a problem catching anything. Recently they have been really elusive. Even when it wasn’t summer here in Texas and hot. They didn’t want anything to do with us. Could we have outfished everything? I don’t see how that could be possible with the amount of fish that was in this pond. It was storming really bad this weekend here and I decided to fish anyway. Caught 3 good size crappie and a 3 lbs bass. I can understand that being slow bc of the storm but everything else? It doesn’t make sense to me. What do y’all think?
