Lord of the Fries
Hello gang, I'm back again with another review. As most of you know I'm the top Fry Reviewer in the USA and manage Reddits top Fry Review subreddit and today I'm taking a look at what the King has to offer.
As the top Fry Reviewer in the US let me start by say Burger King is the only place I can make my entire meal Fries.
I got 2 12 piece Chicken Fries, a 12 piece Mozarella Fries, and a Large French Fry. As a treat I got a unsweetened tea on the side.
Let me start by saying the Chicken Fries were a big let down. They were overcooked and very dry. There was hardly any chicken in them. A lot were like breading, but almost hollow inside. I dipped them in the Honey Mustard sauce which helped a lot. The Honey Mustard was superior to the Honey Mustard from Chic Fil A.
The Mozarella Fries were a nice surprise. It was my first time having them. Moist and delectable in the middle with a solid crunch on the outside. The cheese tastes of superior quality and I could tell the cheese maker is a true artisan. I went with the classic Marinara for a dipping sauce here and it was good but nothing to write home about.
Lastly, the French Fries. For those of us of a certain age we still remember Burger Kings old fries which were far and away superior. The current offering is very dry like the Chicken Fries. They needed quite a bit of ketchup to make them palatable which is not required with good fries. I added some nutritional yeast on top of the fries for health reasons and it also helped with the flavor as well. The have a great base and I'm sure with proper prep and cooking they could be better, but mine left a lot to be desired.
I let the manager know my thoughts on the way out and she didn't seem to care.
Overall Id rate my all Fry meal pretty high at a 6/10. Any questions?
