Home alone until tomorrow.

YA’LL!

I have to brag to someone. I’ve been home alone since 6am this morning. Well, just me and my dog. Kiddo is spending the rest of month with my in-laws and my husband is staying with my in laws overnight to avoid a 6 hr drive within a day. Originally, he was going to do a “day trip” and come back in the evening and I convinced him to just stay overnight and spend time with his parents.

I’M HOME ALONE FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS!

I haven’t had an entire day to myself in a couple years (when the Barbie movie came out) and it feels good! I’ve been washing my kiddos bedsheets and other random laundry. The kitchen is CLEAN. Made myself a pineapple agua fresca. Have been reading my book and listening to Neo Soul music. Originally I wanted to go to a bookstore and have a coffee at their cafe but decided to read some books I already have and get things done. If it wasn’t so hot out, I’d be grilling or making myself something to eat out on the patio and reading in my garden.

It’s so amazing to clean up and not having someone going after me dirtying up dishes or asking me what’s for lunch/dinner or asking for snack ideas. I lived alone for few years before getting married and I forgot how amazing it was.

Might take my dog out for a walk later, get some Dairy Queen or pick up take out. So many possibilities that I don’t even know what to do.
