Some budgeting/finance/money questions from a first year

I've crunched the numbers, and on my conservative estimate I'm facing a shortfall from November to December (cause of the housing fees). I'll be about $800 short in both November and December. I stay in Innis, and am an incoming first-year. So my questions:

1. Can I defer my housing fees until January, which is when I get my 2nd OSAP payment?
2. If not, I'll need to find work. What would you guys recommend (where should I work, how many hours/week, etc)? The timetable I've made gives me 2 free weekdays, so I have time, but I basically have no work experience whatsoever. I've helped at my dad's warehouse for the past few years, but I guess that's not enough for a resume, so it'd have to be pretty basic.
