Wifi

I have heard that the wifi in my hostel is not very good. I often play online games or download them and I want good network quality(80-150mbps). I have also heard that most people use their Phone's hotspot. Even though I have unlimited data pack. It's a 4g phone and the hotspot of 4g phone is not really good. Is there a way I can have good quality network in my laptop? Do 4g sim dongals work?
