anxious about fertility
i’m not sure if i should use side effects or experience to make it short and simple i was on BC pills from around august/september 2024 to march 2025, i initially used it to skip periods (i experience gender dysphoria) i stopped for a week or two and switched to depo in march (i was bad at taking the pills when i was supposed to and wanted a method that was less stressful when coming to that). i last had a period in january 2025 (which im now not sure was withdrawl since i had fucked up with my pills and had to restart around then) and haven’t spotted or bled in anyway since than having conversations with people around me about the length i’ve gone without a period makes me anxious because a lot of people around me say that it reduces fertility and my chance of having children if i do it for too long. but going online and reading articles it says it doesn’t effect fertility and i should be fine. basically if any of you decided to skip periods for a lengthy period what was the longest? do you feel like it effected fertility? i’m not very very worried because im still young and im not planning on having kids for the next 5-10 years but during that time i want to have the least amount of periods as possible as the dysphoria effects my mental health while im already dealing with the period itself lol just looking for some peace of mind :)
