Happy Self-Promote Sunday! I'm here to yap at you about my recently finished fic, [Sanguine by baitswitch](https://archiveofourown.org/works/56943745/chapters/144799066). Completed this week! 140k words, 22 chapters.

Writing this has been a labor of love over the past year. Here are the things I adore about this story:

🩸 Earned redemption for Draco. There are no shortcuts here. This boy *goes through it,* starting at a very low point and putting in the work to get to the other side. We don’t gloss over any of his wrongs; the whole story is him confronting his past and learning how to reconcile that with who he wants to become.

💭 Original combination of magic and medicine. Hermione pilots a new form of therapy for people who have PTSD, utilizing Veritaserum, esketamine, and a Pensieve. Patients relive their most intense memories, making sense of what happened and how they can make peace with it.

❤️‍🔥The smut is smutting: Draco is a proud member of the Morose Wank Club. Hermione tries ~~and fails~~ to convince herself she’s too good for PWP. Feat. SubAwakening!Draco and SoftDommeAwakening!Hermione.

🏰Revisiting iconic scenes from canon (Yule Ball, anyone?) without any time travel quick-fixes. Draco and Hermione are immersed in his memories, but they still have to reckon with the present-day consequences of his actions.

🫂A cast and crew of supporting characters that have become so dear to me through the process of this story (side servings of Hinny, Blaise/Ernie MacMillan, and Theo/Andrew [dead name Angelina] Johnson).

**TLDR; Prose-forward redemption story with a lot of wanking along the way. **
