Decision Paralysis is burning me out right before a holiday

Rant/Vent

Do share your stories but right now I'm just kinda annoyed. I leave for a holiday tomorrow and still haven't booked my train to get there (only partially my fault, I needed it to co-incide with a friend I'm going with coming from a different direction and she's less organised than I am!) and the decision is killing me

UK trains are stupidly overpriced, even with discounts, and I'm fully aware travelling earlier in the day means I could save a good chunk of money but I can't because my options are be stuck in the small town near the airport, stuck in the station, or walking and sitting in the airport itself - because the hotel we have is booked in her name and her card so I can't check in without her.

Or I arrive two hours after her which I know would freak her out so my only choice is to get the most expensive trains of the day (prices go up when people go to/from work) ..in London. Yeah. I don't want to get on a commuter underground train either.

I know I know I just need to bite the bullet and pay, or pick an option that takes longer and has two extra changes, which is way more risk and mental stress because one transfer is only 8 minutes. With delays being so common that could easily ruin half the journey

I just don't know which to do. Long, cheaper, riskier, or more expensive, shorter, and busier? Ugh! This has honestly ruined my whole afternoon I'm EXHAUSTED and four hours on a train sure ain't gonna heal me tomorrow. The flight is 8am so uh no rest in the morning either.

yay....
