How to attend a stage - in real life? Practical experience needed..

Hi guys,

The family and I are wrapping up 2 weeks of vacation in Italy, and I noticed that we’ll be driving very close to stage 18 (24th of July) on the way home. (VIF - Courchevel).

We were thinking about getting up early on the 24th and go there to watch stage 24 in real life - but there is very little guidance on the official page on how to do so.

How do you find a spot? Can you get in on the same day as the peloton drives by? Or should we get in a day ahead?

If we have to get in a day earlier, we might opt for stage 19 (Albertville - La Plagne).
