Should I be worried about my visit?

My partner’s family invited me to join them in Murray for vacation and I am a black.

I’ve never been to Kentucky and I am worried about how diverse and safe it would be for me as a person of color.

I’m not trying to target Kentucky or Murray specifically or assume anything about the area. I have these concerns everywhere I go when I’m not with my own family as I am an anxious person.

So is there anything I need to know as a black person traveling to Murray, Kentucky?
