GLP1 for PCOS
Hello, I am seeing an endocrinologist for the first time after being diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago. I have taken metformin and spironolactone for the last a year and a half and not seen much affect from it. I did research on GLP1 and it looked like a great option for my symptoms. I especially have a hard time losing weight no matter my diet or exercise. I also have low energy during the day and trouble sleeping.
My insurance does not cover GLP one for PCOS. I did see that doctors can request an exemption or appeal the denial. Does anyone have experience dealing with this? I think out-of-pocket is really expensive so if insurance could help that would be great. Let me know!
