Turbo still not working for Synapse 4

I tried setting up a turbo key for my huntsman v3 pro and for whatever reason going either the enable turbo route or setting a macro just causes whatever key I assign it to not respond at all. I would think this would have been fixed over the last couple of years but guess not. Is the best option still to uninstall synapse 4 and roll back to 3?
