4-way switch setup with switches in between each light?

I think I know the answer is “no” but I’m throwing a hail market to see if it’s possible and I’m missing it. Can you wire a 4-way switch with lights in between each of the switches? I’m using 14/3 going from switch to light to switch to light to switch. Traditional wiring shows the load all attached to one of the switches and then all the switches are interconnected. Just checking if there is a trick to do this :)
