Was Edison really as horrible as he is portrayed and was Tesla really an ultimate genius who was exploited?

Like seriously the amount of YouTube video, documentaries, articles, threads and even books I read it's shown that Edison just took advantage of the people working for him and presented his ideas to the world which were built by people like Tesla who were the actual geniuses that were exploited.

And this trend is like widely accepted on social media nowadays. Even many people who aren't aware of this controversy have began to see Tesla as the True genius. So is this really true?
