Summer Gardyns

I struggle in the summer with the Gardyns living in the NYC area. I keep my units in the basement but don’t run AC all the time and the lettuces just don’t grow as well as they do in the summer.

I’ve read some people just start all over in the summer. Why do people do with their Gardyns in the summer months??
