Is it worth it to register a lead acid battery for a day?

The previous owner or someone before I got it, replaced the AGM battery in the trunk with a lead acid battery, but never registered it with the car ( 2017 BMW 750i xDrive ). The car still believes it has the original from Factory 8 year old AGM battery.

Of course this has caused charging and voltage issues. I will have a replacement AGM battery tomorrow, but want to do some driving today as I have finally fixed the air strut and upper control arm on the driver's side. I completely disconnected the batteries last night and charged them independently.

I have turned off the auto engine stop as I'm sure that is horrible for the lead acid battery, but I'm still wonder if I should go ahead and register the lead acid battery for today, even though I will be registering the New AGM battery tomorrow.
