Belittling the good of others

Excerpt from Ibrahim Dewla’s speeches and notes.

The principle is that we should cooperate in any effort related to religion, rather than envying one another.

Everyone’s abilities vary. Not everyone can perform every task, but each task is essential. For instance, if food is being cooked, bringing the firewood is also necessary.

All efforts concerning religion that are taking place around the world. We ought to appreciate, value, and support them.

Why? Because it’s prohibited to belittle any good deed.

Abu Dharr reported that the Prophet (saw) said, “Do not belittle any good deed, even meeting your brother with a cheerful face.”
(Muslim 2626)

Meeting someone with a smiling face — what does that require? One has to show their teeth, that’s all. However, Islam has deemed it to be charity.
