How to get Claude code to test using a dev server
So, if you have a plain old web application, you likely run some command to launch it when in development and click around.
Claude Code can do the clicking around fine, especially if you use something like the Playwright MCP.
The problem is the web server. Its a non terminating command, and Claude will launch the server then wait for its timeout before continuing.
Since we have sub agents now, it should be possible to have one sub agent run the server and another click around for testing, then kill the sub agent. It won't do that right now, at least not out of the box.
Any suggestion? My workaround is to tell it to let me run the command myself in another terminal, but I'd love if it could do it itself and have a proper workflow.
