New to self hosting…

I have a geekom a5 1Tb with proxmox. What would be a good set up for a home server? A) VM and container what application I need B) make one container and set up each app on a Debian or Ubuntu server?

I’m looking to begin with nginx reverse proxy, Nextcloud, if I roll all that in one container would reverse proxy only work for that specific container? ( how can I set up “security” for any vm/ct thereafter)
