Used ISY-994 with HA
I previously used a USB PLM with HomeSeer and am running into difficulty with HA not being able to everything using the HUB 2 that I could do with the PLM.
I understand the ISY-994 provides more programmmatic control of the ramp rates, max on levels, and LED brightness than the Insteon Integration offers in HA.
Does the ISY-994 still need a PLM besides and can it use a USB version? I'm looking at the connections on it and it seems to have RJ45 for network, but another RJ "Port A" for maybe serial connection (to a serial PLM)?
I realize the ISY is out of production, so I'm considering buying used on eBay or somewhere.
What is the best way to get all the Insteon features back of the PLM? I'm running HA in a Hyper-V VM, so connecting to hub via USB is not an option unless I move it. Would like to maintain network access to Hub or ISY rather than a wired connection.
