Got mistaken for a middle schooler

I was dropping my oldest off at Sunday school today at a new class because he moved up to the big kids class for middle and high school. And the lady was explaining that they started with everybody and then would break up into smaller groups. She said “yall might get split up with middle school boys and middle school girls in separate schools.”

I just stared at her and then proceeded to ask my son if he wanted me to pick him up from class or if he wanted to meet me.

I’m 30. It was a little surprising to get middle schooler. High school is the usually age range I get
