Why was I kick out of the science museum for applying sunscreen?

:Qfl: Question

I (37F) and my husband (42M) we’re at the science museum today. While I waited for my husband who was in the washroom, I reapplied my sunscreen since we were planning to leave. A security guard promptly came over to me and kicked me out for applying sunscreen. I don’t exactly know what is wrong with this etiquette wise. Born and raised in NB so I don’t think it’s a taboo thing. I was wearing a lulu racer back, shorts and ball cap so nothing overly exposing. Genuinely curious if this is unacceptable behaviour in these parts or if maybe this security guard was having enough of people applying sunscreen.
