Worried I’m doing LID wrong
Hi,
This is going to sound kind of maybe insensitive, which I apologize for in advance, but I wanted to check in: has anyone found LID to be very easy and even, like, a good diet?
I keep seeing posts about how LID was hard and I’m kind of worried I’m not doing it correctly. I feel like a lot of the switches I made haven’t affected my food: I can still have salt as long as it’s the special kind, I just use a cashew based “butter” instead of butter, and I switched to a banana milk product instead of regular milk. There’s an app that just scans the barcodes in the store for things, and I kind of have been eating a ton of beans and rice and whatever meat I want.
I will say I put aside extra money for this, because I’ve mostly found LID safe foods at Whole Foods, but overall I feel like the transition has been so easy that I’m honestly worried I’m missing something that will mess me up. I did have a bit of an oopsy where I ate unsalted butter for the first few days (I forgot that butter was dairy) but I’ve been very careful otherwise.
