I don't have access to an in-person rheumatologist through my health insurance. My online rheumatologist, after reviewing several tests and my symptom records, said that Behçet's is a possibility. Can anyone here confirm if this could be a possibility?
Male, 19 years old.
Since childhood, I’ve experienced recurrent episodes of gastritis and stomatitis. In early adolescence, I developed recurring ulcer-like lesions on the visible part of the urethra (appearing before any sexual activity). I also suffer from joint pain, muscle pain, sensitive red skin patches, and debilitating fatigue.
My CRP levels have been chronically elevated — always above 40 — with the most recent result being 59. I have several dilated, irritated, or purplish veins in my right arm, left thigh, and testicles.
Lately, I suspect I may be having seizures during sleep. I wake up multiple times during the night, sometimes unable to move certain limbs, and start trembling. Occasionally, I can speak, but my speech is slow and slurred. I recorded myself during one of these episodes and noticed I was chewing, moving my eyes, and rubbing my hands involuntarily.
I'm also experiencing memory lapses and severe attention problems.
I'm certain these symptoms are not related to anxiety. I’ve undergone anxiety treatment for over six months and haven’t found any correlation between these symptoms and anxious episodes.
