Any tips on how to get started with witchcraft?

Hello I was wondering if someone is willing to help me with getting started on spells. I'm new to all of this but always felt drawn. I would like to learn about protection and manifestation mostly. Right now I'm very interested in storm protection. We are having some massive storms coming our way and I would like to do a protection spell for my home and family. Just no damage the rain is very much needed because we had a dry spell for over a month and insane heat. Any tips? I'd be very grateful if someone can help me. Thank you I hope I didn't accidentally forget any community guidelines and rules, if I did I apologize.
