Help My house has 7 WiFis
My house currently has 7 wifi networks and I am not sure how to fix it. My router setting webpage only has settings for the main one. Here is some context.
We had a WiFi named F some 5 years ago. We wanted to be able to connect to it while in our backyard so we hired a guy to put in a WiFi extender (TpLink eap225). We then got a new cable box and router and the new router came with a new WiFi, G. I noticed that F was still available to connect to but didn’t think much of it. We then got another extender (TpLink eap245 v3). Then, we recently lost power for a few minutes and when it came back online we had a new WiFi named M, M sees to be the default name of the router. At this point we had 3 WiFi’s, all only working in certain rooms in my house. This is incredibly annoying in my genius I attempted to fix it. I need a login to configure the TpLinks and my Dad didn’t know them, the guy that installed them is now retired so no one knows the passwords. I found a reset switch on the TpLinks so I pressed them and now both of them have the original broken one, a TpLink_2.4ghz, and a TpLink_5.0ghz network coming out of them. I am very lost and need help fixing this.
- The app for TpLink dosnt let me connect to them.
- The website dosnt recognize any access points on any of the networks.
- One of them goes into a netgear 5 port Ethernet hub and the metgear app dosnt recognize anything.
- My router webpage only lists my main one as available to edit settings.
- I don’t have any passwords.
How do I fix this?
