Trading System via Processing Recipies?

I know that it's very VERY stupid— this question, but I've been wondering as to whether or not it's possible to use Applied Energistics 2, Refined Storage, Integrared Dynamics, and/or the like to make a trading system. Has anyone else tried setting this up before?

From both my testing with AE2 for a failed compact inscriber automation setup I tried copying from a video and me using Refined Storage a lot, what I know is that you can set up patterns to output items from processing recipies, so that means that I can use just about any block with an inventory as a "processing block" such as a chest.
