STUDY: Structured exercise post-adjuvant treatment results in significant reduction in recurrence
We've all heard "exercise" helps prevent cancer, this research supports the significant reduction in recurrence for those that have cancer and received adjuvant therapy. Many oncologists will spend a lot of time on the "benefits" of chemo, radiation and/or immunotherapy, but a TINY amount of time on exercise or diet for that matter. This study proves the remarkable benefit of exercise after adjuvant treatment. Of course, the irony is the fact that some patients may be too fatigued to exercise enough in the months/years after treatment to gain these results.
