entitlement from parents (specifically moms) to interact with their kids

RANT

I saw a tiktok of a mom in Target who said, in short, "it inferiorates me" (yes she said inferiorates instead of infuriates) "when my kid says hi and people don't say hi back. like you have this adorable kid saying hi to you, bitch i know you hear him - say hi back!! ugh it makes my mama bear claws come out".

The comment section absolutely passed the vibe check but I commented saying "hey mama the entitlement "inferiorates" me" and I got a comment from, of course, a boy mom that said:

"Girl what entitlement, maybe understand what entitlement actually is. If a baby is so happy saying hi to every single person like yeah it lowkey hurts my heart when someone ignores him. It doesn’t “anger” me. But that’s not entitlement. We want our kids to be that happy and genuine always."

I responded with:

"what is described in the video is literally entitlement. thinking you deserve something or some kind of special treatment. that kid is connected to you/you're basically its conscience so yeah it's entitlement if you think people should say hi to your kid. if you rely on other people for your kids happiness idk what to tell you girl. also why are we even encouraging kids to talk to strangers and ignore social cues?"

She then said to stop replying to her and if I don't have kids I can't speak on this.

No one needs to say hi to your kid, end of discussion.
