This is what the FO should do

With Valanciunas likely not wanting to play in NBA and willing to give up his $10M from the Nuggets, the FO should waive him and pocket the extra cap space. Ben Wallace should then target the best available free agents who we could afford with the MLE. We're looking for someone we could build the bench offense around during the non-Jokic minutes, so talent is more important than position. Currently the best unsigned free agents (from good to less good) are:

• Malcolm Brogdon
• Al Horford
• Chris Paul
• Chris Boucher
• Gary Payton II

There are also rumors that Bradley Beal will be bought out by the Suns and will become a free agent. If those rumors are true, and Beal is willing to sign for an MLE, then his name goes on the top of the list.

The idea is we try to run a bench unit around our MLE guy and hopefully create a competent bench identity. If Coach DA isn't able to work something great out with the bench by the trade deadline, then we trade the MLE player for a competent, backup capital-C center.
