Why do most people who leave the Deen in the Somali community seem to be women?

Is it because some Hooyos impose the hijab and other rules before their daughters have the freedom to explore the faith for themselves?

From what I’ve seen many sisters don’t leave over deep intellectual doubts when they do mention a specific issue, it’s often the narration about Aishah’s marriage.

So what’s really driving this trend?

(am talking about the states btw can’t speak for anywhere else!!!)
