'10 BMW R1200RT - How to "disable" ABS

I'm rescuing a low mileage but neglected BMW that sat for ~8 years. The front brake is being particularly tricky, and I've bled LOTS of brake systems. I believe there may be crystallized brake fluid in the ABS unit, or perhaps the front brake circuitry is otherwise clogged. The rear AB works fine.

One solution is to simply bypass the ABS unit and run a regular brake line from the master cylinder to the splitter on the front forks. Currently, the line goes from the master cyl to a bracket that then connects to the ABS metal lines Shown in the first two pics.

I'd have to find a way to then cap the lines, either at the first joining bracket or back at the ABS unit itself, shown in the second pic.

Since I haven't worked with these types of connectors before, my question is ... do you just unscrew them with an 11mm wrench? Any suggestions on best way to cap them?
