[Recommendations] Tips for handling finances?

At the moment, I just sell my work through local art events like "First Friday" and to friends and family. I've been keeping track of my sales and expenses in Google sheets, but I feel like it's time to step it up a notch. How do you prefer to keep track of your finances with your art business? I have started to apply for exhibits in larger cities and I want to get better prepared, as I am working towards this becoming a larger part of my life. I have many other areas that I want to learn and expand on, but I want to focus on this right now and have a better understanding of finances.
