Turning my Printer into a Monitor
So I am trying to turn my printer into a monitor. Basically I have a raspberry pi that takes screenshots, converts to pdf and sends it to the printer to essentially act as the worst monitor in the world. Each screenshot is a different file sent to the printer to be printed. But I have run into a rather large issue. I am using a Brother MFP - 2710, black and white laser.
The issue I am having is that the printer has to "spin up and down" between each file sent over, meaning that each screenshot is taking upwards of 30 seconds to print out. I was just curious if anyone with divine printer knowledge, has any ideas on how I can keep it in the "warmed up state" so that it can quickly print out each file received? I have considered merging the screenshots into batches, but then there would still be a major delay while its collecting the screenshots to be sent over. I know this is going to suck as a monitor no matter what, but I want it to be as "functional" as possible.
