Anyone here done FMVA while preparing for FRM Part 1? Need advice.

HI everyone,
I’m currently preparing for FRM Part 1 (May 2026) and considering pursuing the FMVA certification from CFI alongside it. Since I have around 5–6 months of free time before the FRM exam, I thought it could be a good opportunity to build some practical skills like Excel, financial modeling, and valuation.

For those of you who’ve completed FMVA —

• Was it genuinely helpful in improving your job/internship prospects?
• Did it complement your FRM prep or feel like too much overlap/workload?
• Would you recommend any better alternatives (free or paid) that focus on real-world finance skills?
