Finally apples

Hello, everyone!

Is it common for apple trees to bloom and sprout apples for the first time 8 years after planting? We planted our 2 apple trees back in 2017 and this is the first summer 1 of them actually bloomed and gives apples (we thought it was infertile). Has anyone had it happen to them? We have 2 apple trees, planted the same year, 15 feet apart, one of them has always given lots of apples and this other one only did the first time this year. Isn't it odd? I kinda asked God a personal question this last winter and asked for a sign and boom! It blooms, so there it is the reason I actually ask....... is it common at all or is it a sign .
