AITA for asking my ex to send me the F1 tickets he booked for me as a gift from my friends, even though we broke up and he’s now refusing?

Hi, I’m writing because I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.

I (F25) was supposed to attend the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa–Francorchamps, a gift from my friends, who all chipped in to get me a 3-day ticket. At the time, I was still with my ex (M28), and he contributed to the gift too. The ticket was booked through him for practical reasons.

Since then, things between us went downhill fast.

We broke up not long after. Things weren’t working anymore, there was no cheating or anything, but I ended the relationship. Since then, he blocked me on everything, so I had to email him to ask for the ticket. I just did that today, the GP is in 20 days. I really want to go as it’s one of my dream, he knows this.

I apologized, acknowledged that I hadn’t been perfect, and offered to reimburse his share. He refused, answering coldly and mockingly. Now it feels like he’s keeping it just to get back at me.

The ticket wasn’t meant for him. It was a gift for me, mostly paid by people who still want me to go. I’ve told them what’s going on, and they said they’d try to help, but I’m still stuck in the middle for now.

Should I let it go and buy another ticket? Try one last time? Or just step back and let them handle it?
